I hope 2021 is being better to everyone, I have added a new Video section where you can view and listen to some of my work. Recently I completed a new Megamix for Rick Gianatos on the fantastic new Jessica Williams single 'So Good' originally recorded by Mica Paris. I created the So Good Megamix from the amazing Matt Pop Club, Dub and Instrumental mixes. If you are a fan of Disco, Hi-NRG, Pop, Dance, you will certainly love this feel good track.
Earlier this year I announced that I would work again with Rick Gianatos on a new track for an upcoming release on Altair Music. I am delighted to announce that Scherrie Payne - Hope [David Strong Megamix] has just been released globally on most Digital Download and Streaming music websites.
Originally recorded in 1982, it was originally intended to be the follow up single to 'One Night Only' and was recorded at the same session. It remained unreleased until 2012 when it featured as a bonus track on 'Let Yourself Go'. Given the present global coronavirus crisis the sentiment of the song makes it an appropriate track for it's own release.
Here's hoping 2020 is as good as 2019, a few months ago famed music producer Rick Gianatos asked me to create a Megamix of his Jessica Williams - 24 Hours A Day based on the club, dub and instrumental mixes by Matt Pop.
2018 started with a new Starlab Megamix on the debut CD album 'Ross Alexander - Glitter & Twisted' on Pumpin' UK, which was released in February 2018. In July Pumpin' UK Records released my Starlab Glitter & Twisted Megamix previously only available on the physical CD along with my Matt Pop Glitter & Twisted Megamix, both are available from all major digital outlets.
In 2017 I celebrated 30 years in music, I had a very special release 'Steps - Tears on the Dancefloor [Dj David Strong 7th Heaven Medley]' which is featured on Steps - Tears On The Dancefloor: Crying At The Disco Deluxe Edition Album. Also I had to good fortune of working with the late great Bill Grainger founder of Academy Street Records, I worked on 'Hazell Taylor - Groove Me', ’Doctor Disko - Big Girl' and 'Energy Timewarp Dance Party' a non stop 22 track album, I compiled and mixed available worldwide on all major digital music stores.
Earlier in 2017 I teamed up with my good friend Paul Goodyear [SanFranDisko] and collaborated on a remix of the iconic classic Man 2 Man - Male Stripper for the 30th Anniversary Edition. We are delighted that our remix is featured on the world wide release available on Sounds United. It continues to feature on various Music compilations and is available from all major online digital music stores.
Early in 2016 I worked with Fylf Music on the B:Linda Project The Album release which is now available at www.fylfmusic.com The B:Linda Project - The Album is available as a physical release and also there is a digital download. The physical Double CD consists of 10 Belinda Carlisle Dance Remakes featuring Radio Edits plus 2 original tracks on CD1 and Extended Club Mixes on CD2. The Digital download bundle includes the 10 Belinda Carlisle Dance Remakes Radio Edits, the Extended Mixes and a Heavenly Pop Album Megamix mixed by yours truly David Strong. I also created the Artwork and Booklet on the physical CD release.
